Incredible!!! I am proud to be a bookworm. Nothing like the feel of a book, the paper stock, the paper smell, the heft (substance) of the book. It is life itself. A life with books is a life well lived.
I was so looking forward to reading the comments here - and they did not disappoint!
In defense of the e-reader: I am nomadic, we move with the seasons. I can carry my ENTIRE library with me at all times. Like a snail with its shell. The e-reader is reliable and comes with a built-in night light that does not disturb the Husband's sleep. But most of all, if I urgently need to re-read something, and that occurs regularly, I have it at my fingertips. I also derive a secret pleasure in not exposing my literary indulgences with unworthies. Some secrets are meant to be kept.
Currently packing to go to a book festival and agonizing over how many books to take with me. 🤣 Logic says one print and my ereader. The book brain says at least five or six… because what if I don’t buy any new ones?! (As if that’s happening)
(Earnestly) Yes, see, you need MORE than one print book because what if the e-reader doesn’t charge or there’s a tech issue? And what if the books you get at the festival are amazing but you want to save them to read during a storm or on a hike because they aren’t the exact *right* book for festival reading? No, you are quite right. Listen to your book brain.
100% truth! Just got back from a pedicure where I was the only person not staring at a screen. Why? I brought my library book. (The CIA Book Club by Charlie English—true story about how books help fight facism!)
The correct term is "Biblioholic." What you described is a book addiction problem. Something many of us know too well and have no interest in going to rehab to fix it!
I have a book I'm reading in every room of my house. My mom wants to know how I can keep the stories straight, but I can. I tell her it's the same way I don't get my friends mixed up. I also take lots of books on trips but then end up at the local bookstore and buy more. A guy once told me that I have too many books. I don't think he was the one for me.
Books … everywhere … yep. Book sharks works for me
Love this and love books! 📖📖
I don’t think this has come up before, but I love Langston Hughes.
Nailed it! If ever I require to be "seen" in composite, I hope it will be through my bookworm journey.

That is exactly my thought process. 🤣 So if there’s two of us thinking that, it has to be correct, right? 😅

This is the way.

All of the above. Especially as I stress more about the books I'm packing for vacation than my shoes.
We also have more books than we can read in this lifetime...
Facts!
Booksharks is a fantastic name for us!
ajajaj yes to all
